Section 375 (12-a) of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law does not allow a windshield or front side windows that are dark. ![]() Also am I going to piss off cops in New Jersey more now? I drive there relatively frequently. Yes in most states window tint is legal as long as you dont tint darker than the allowed visible light transmittance. My second question, even if you are within the legal limit have you guys found that cops give you a harder time with window tints?
